Having performed with such luminaries as Nitin Sawhney, Trilok Gurtu, The James Taylor Quartet and Badmarsh & Shri and contributing her vocal and songwriting skills to their award winning albums. She has currently finished her eagerly awaited solo album, entitled "Life Drawings" - a gentle peek into her world - warts and all which, even she would agree, only scratches the surface of what makes her tick - it's only one album, after all! The music is touched by elements from so many origins that it defies classification – if you did however insist on a pigeon-hole then the lady herself would give you the label to stick on the box – ‘classic Asian soul’ – something you would have to mull over.
 
 
Sanchita Farruque will perform an incredibly moving, live acoustic performance at her first Birmingham debut as a solo artist.
