Music by the Canal Tour Sat 10th May

Using the Midlands waterways as inspiration and a boat as a touring music platform, Music by the Canal celebrates three wonderful Midlands artists who will perform a special new-music commission.

Music by the Canal is an enchanting boat trip along the most beautiful stretch of Midlands’s canal with live musical performances by some of the city’s most spellbinding talent. Creating an entirely new repertoire for the pop-up shows, inspired by their impressions of canal life and celebrating the second largest city in the UK.

Travel around Birmingham’s Central Canals and travel out into the Greenery of England’s Second City while being entertained with the beautiful overtones of Spoken Word artist Amerah Saleh, singer and songwriter Alisha Yasmin Kadir and musician Raju Mali.

Music by the Canal offers a one hour cruise called the ‘Country in the City’ which takes visitors through the Gas Street Basin and along the Worcester and Birmingham Canal. The canal passes through the picturesque suburb of Edgbaston, home to the University of Birmingham.
