I Am… An Artist. I Am a Woman is a platform for women in music to demonstrate their talent and commitment to the women of the Eastern Electronic Festival community. The exhibition encourages women to support each other in order to develop a strong community and solid future.

The Eastern Electronic Festival is committed to supporting the female cause and eager to help create a brand new generation of independent women. Aiming to develop a generation of women who refuse to be pigeon-holed, the exhibition is designed to campaign against the marginalisation of women.

I Am… An Artist. I Am a Woman is a call to action. It is an invitation to all women to take the opportunity to affirm their commitment to female empowerment. This section of the Eastern Electronic Festival is designed to inspire women to be outstanding leaders in the music industry.

The online exhibition is an effort to identify and subsequently catalogue leading British Asian women in music. It will remain active as an online resource to make this culturally significant body of work readily available to people around the globe.
