Empowered Unity Thurs 22th May

The aim of Empowered Unity is to gather a collection of photographs and videos from our wonderful residents living or visiting Birmingham.

Everyone can take part and join in! All you have to do is join us and have your photo taken, alone or in a group as we ask you one simple question:

“What does empowerment mean to you?”

In return you will receive a personal photo as a thank you for being part of this project celebrating life in Birmingham.

Play your part in compiling a global snapshot capturing our wonderful community.

Staying true to the Festival’s ethos to promote cultural diversity through the arts, Empowered Unity will provide the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, allowing us to celebrate the true diversity of Birmingham with people from different ages, ethnicity, faith and class.

Photographs will also be submitted to Somecities, which will contribute to an extensive and authentic digital archive of life in Birmingham and will be available to view on the Festival’s website.

Location: Birmingham Library, Highlight Space (Third Floor, Outside the Gallery).

Address: Broad St, Birmingham B1 2EA. 0121 780 3333

Time: 9.00am to 5.30pm
