An exciting line-up of artists has been revealed for Shaanti’s Eastern Electronic Festival’s New Music Showcase at Town Hall Symphony. Champion Sound Live present the Best of British, a music extravaganza, featuring live music during May.

Showcasing the best unsigned and newly-signed talent to the UK’s music industry. This is a platform for talented individuals from an eclectic mix of musical genres and styles.

Since our launch in early 2009, Champion Sound Live has established itself as one of the best places to hone new talent and we’re proud to add Jon Sterckx to this year’s list.

Jon Sterckx presents Drumscapes is an exciting and original solo performance by world music percussionist Jon Sterckx.  Jon skilfully combines percussion from across the globe with 21st century technology. Each instrument is played, sampled, mixed and processed live on stage in a synthesis of traditional musicianship and live electronics. The result is a unique blend of rhythmic soundscapes, bouncy world rhythms and high energy drumming.

Expect an energetic interpretation live at Symphony Hall, with a post-show conversation with Jon Sterckx himself.
